So Yuki is a DK-weight yarn made from 100% fine, mulesing-free Merino wool from Uruguay. It is spun as a carded yarn on a carriage spinning machine in Japan. The traditional technique adds an airy, light character to the yarn, making it soft on the skin while maintaining its breathable quality for comfortable wear. With a fiber diameter of 19.6 microns, the yarn retains warmth without feeling heavy.
Two sets of three strands form the twist, giving the yarn substance and structure. Its texture remains lively, with air held within the fibers to create gentle volume without disrupting the stitch pattern.
So Yuki is suitable even for sensitive skin and ideal for cozy projects such as sweaters, scarves, and hats, as well as children’s and baby garments. Finished pieces wear smoothly and flow gracefully, retaining their shape over time. Harmoniously aligned with the ITO color portfolio, the palette combines beautifully with other yarns, such as Sensai, creating balanced and cohesive results.
