Der Schal Colorwork Series No. 2 von Cecelia Campochiaro ist eine faszinierende Studie über das Zusammenspiel eng verwandter Farbtöne und den Wabi-Sabi-Effekt.
Für das Design werden sieben verschiedene Farben aus einem Farbbereich gewählt und zweifädig miteinander verstrickt. Daraus entstehen 21 einzigartige zweifädige Farbkombinationen. Jede dieser 21 Melange-Kombinationen wird genau zweimal pro Musterwiederholung verstrickt. Das durchdachte System sorgt dafür, dass alle Farben und Garnmengen absolut gleichmäßig aufgebraucht werden.
Das Muster („Nuts and Bolts“): Ein Damast-ähnliches Strukturmuster aus glatten und verkehrten Maschen. Es verleiht dem Gestrick den geschmeidigen Griff von Glatt-Rechts, bringt aber die Melange-Farben durch die unterschiedliche Lichtbrechung der vertikalen und horizontalen Maschenstrukturen lebendig zur Geltung.
