ONO by Jana Huck
Ono is a looped loop! It’s knit in the round, with the ends grafted together with Kitchener stitch in order to make an incredibly cosy infinity scarf.
The stunning 3D stitch pattern is achieved by working cording stitches for pleats on every 12th round, which is, along with a second round, worked on smaller needles with a lace weight thread (ITO Washi) to separate the bonbon-shaped elements of the loop. In between these two rounds, sections of stocking stitch worked with ITO Rakuda allow the knitter to relax.
The cording stitch technique is unusual, but it’s not too complicated. A convenient photo tutorial will guide you through it. Buy the pattern here.
