The TANKE Top has a unique construction for which you start working the back and then fold it over to form the shoulder section and pick up stitches along the side of the back for the front. For a good fit stitches are increased. It is a simple and beginner friendly knitted work with great effect. The top is worked seamlessly from the top down. Pockets and hoodie are optional.

The top is worked with three yarns: ITO Zome Gima (single strand) and ITO Asa with ITO Kosho held together (2 strands).

When choosing the colors, a strong contrast in value between ITO Zome Gima & ITO Asa with ITO Kosho will emphasize the stripes and make the speckles of ITO Zome Gima recede to the background (version 2). If the main and the contrast colors have a similar value, then the speckles of ITO Zime Gima are emphasized and the stripes are barely visible (version 1 with hoodie).
