DOPPIO by Valentina Cosciani

“Doppio” is an asymmetrical shawl with an unusual shape.
The first section, knit in garter stitch, is followed by a second section in which a second yarn is introduced in a striped pattern. The shawl is completed by a third section in a lace stitch to create visual impact. The shawl is finished with I-cord borders for a tailored look. You start knitting from the narrow tip of the shawl, so it can be made as long or as short as you want, depending on how much yarn you have!

Finished measurements:

228 cm (89 ¾'') along the longer side and 107 cm (42 ¼'') along the shorter side (after blocking).

2 x ITO Rakuda (70% wool and 30% camel; 40 gr ~ 211 m / 231 yds); here #645 Aqua
2 x ITO Sensai (60% mohair and 40% silk; 20 gr ~ 240 m / 262 yds); here #325 Aqua

Needles

ITO No. 8 号 (4,5 mm) circular needle, 80 cm

15 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm (4''), in garter stitch using ITO Rakuda (after blocking).
