ITO Washi follows the tradition of noble Japanese paper yarns with an extremely silky softness. The yarn has a good stitch definition and therefore also shows lace patterns nicely. The paper is twisted with a rayon thread which gives the necessary stability to garments and accessories. Washi is washable. We recommend handwash. Available in 22 colors.

Tipps:

Paper yarns have a lasting tradition in Japan. They are often compared to silk in their noble character and have similar properties to silk: Cooling in summer and warming in winter. Washi can be knit single stranded for lace and lightweight summer scarfs. For shirts and jackets we recommend to knit Washi double stranded or in combination with Niji or Asa.
