KAROLINE by Ani Knits

Karoline is a light spring/summer shawl with a checked pattern. Lines are worked with little bit of mohair so that they pop up more. The use of the ITO yarns makes it to an accessory for every day.
The triangle is built by starting with few stitches and increasing in every wrong side row 2 stitches at each side, except in contrast color rows - here no increases are worked. The horizontal lines are knitted by changing to contrast color in ITO Sensai held single. To apply the vertical lines later as finishing step instead of knitting intarsia, fake seams are worked at these positions. This prevents you in losing the position and has the opportunity that applied stitches are in same layer like knitted ones. Finally these lines are applied by adding a crochet chain application with contrast color. Pattern includes a photo tutorial.
