MYLYS Shirt by K. Schneider
The mylys summer shirt, designed for my favorite LYS, shows like its hometown Hamburg two different sides. It appears cool and clear from the front but the button and lace at the back add a romantic touch. The pattern offers two possibilities - a sleeveless version for hot summer days and 3/4 sleeves for cooler days to match the changing weather conditions in Hamburg. The shirt is started with knitting front and back separately in rows from the top to the base of the armhole. Then the back and the front are joined and knitted in the round. After working the decreases for the underarm shaping, the back is worked in Lace Pattern to the hem. For the optional 3⁄4 sleeves, the stitches are picked up and knitted in the round to the cuffs. For the sleeveless version an i-cord egde can be added around the armholes.
